A close up look at the effects of contraceptive pills. An enlarged tapestry of the side effects insert found in many contraceptive pill packages, made with hand carved letter stamps, printed letter by letter onto the white cotton base. Although birth control allows so much freedom and bodily autonomy for women, this work questions why the research around women's health has not yet reached a point of being able to provide a contraceptive without life threatening side effects. It aims to redirect the conversation from a controversial/ political one, to a necessary and general health based discussion.
